Dear Echoes Writers and Readers,

Sincere thanks to everyone who submitted for the Echoes of the Right to God book! We received many beautiful works. We know some of you will be disappointed, but the Echoes of the Right to God anthology originally planned for 2011 has been canceled. It's an exciting time for us as writers. It's an exciting for all of us trying to walk God's path, one step at a time.

We know some of our essay winners looked forward to this compilation. Essays published in the magazine will remain on line at this time. While we may publish this book in 2012, we feel it's unreasonable to ask anyone who submitted to wait. Please, feel free to submit your work elsewhere. And let us know on Facebook where your work is published! We love to share!

If there are opportunities to submit to Echoes next year, we'll send out an email. Also, 'like' us on Facebook, and you'll be the first to know what's next.

Special thanks to everyone who sent their work to us! You're awesome writers with heartfelt messages. We wish you all the best.

Thank you again for being part of The Right to God.
Blessings,
Ron & Jennie Dugan

Dear Friends,

The Right to God was about spiritual journey, growing closer to God, throwing off the burdens we put on ourselves. But the violence against Christians in Nigeria on Christmas Day gives new meaning to the right to God. In many places, including our home in Ohio, we are free to pray, to meet God where we choose. In Nigeria, and many places around the world, that freedom isn't taken for granted.

With prayers towards our friends in Nigeria, we are rerunning and will continue to run Kenneth Okpomo's award-winning essay on religious violence in his country, Nigeria.

Prayers and blessings to all. May we someday all be called peacemakers.

Blessings,
Ron & Jennie
